Service Flow Coordinator (4 volunteer positions open)
Contemporary Worship Service Flow Coordinator
Purpose: Makes sure every person involved in a weekend service, especially those tied to special elements, knows what's expected of them, is in the right place at the right time, and has everything they need to be successful. This role owns the human side of the run of show, not the technical side.
Responsibilities:
- Review the Planning Center service order ahead of each weekend so they know the full flow of worship, including every special element (kids singing, scripture reading, international prayer, baptisms, etc.)
- Present in both the 915 and 11 am worship services.
- Sunday morning point of contact: Make sure everyone tied to a special element is present, prepped, and in place before it's time to go, and ensure they have anything they need. (e.g., mics, stands, etc). Be the go-to person during the service if someone doesn't know where to be or what's next
- Starts the online worship in the Gathering Grounds for the 11am worship service.
- Be the point of contact if someone doesn't show up, so there's a clear person deciding whether to adjust the order or find a fill-in
- Communicate directly with the Creative Director and Worship Leader each Sunday to confirm the plan and flag anything that's changed or missing
- Watch the clock during the service and give a heads-up when things are running long or short.
- Troubleshoot in the moment when something doesn't go as planned (a mic cuts out, a video doesn't roll, a transition gets missed) and decide how to recover without disrupting the room
- Debrief after the service with the team on what worked and what to adjust
Good fit for someone who:
- Is organized and doesn't let details slip
- Communicates clearly and confidently with people, including kids, guest speakers, and pastors
- Stays calm and adaptable when the plan shifts last minute
- Is comfortable checking in with people ahead of time so nothing is a surprise on Sunday
