Kimberly is a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland. She is proud to be a native of what is known around the world as the “DMV” She’s the youngest of three children. Kimberly was raised by her mother and father who both worked for and retired from the Federal Government with over 37 years of dedicated service.

Kimberly is a graduate of Oxon Hill High School in Oxon Hill, MD. She was an active participant in the Stellar Award-winning Oxon Hill Vocal Music Department. During her formative years, she actively participated in honors choruses, school competitions, and adjudications. She won first place in several adjudicated soloist competitions. She has performed and sung background vocals for national and international artists and musicians such as Shirley Caesar, John P. Kee, Richard Smallwood, Robert Hawkins, Dorinda Clark-Cole of the renowned Clark Sisters, Sunday Best Winner Le’andria Johnson, and American virtuoso trumpeter, composer, teacher, and artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center Wynton Marsalis in Paris, France as a member of the Morgan State University Choral Ensemble. Her past experience in the performing arts includes performances at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., the Meyerhoff Theater in Baltimore, Maryland, and Disney’s Candlelight Processional, in Orlando, FL. Her passion for music, gifts, and talents moved audiences to receive her as an anointed vocalist. She has traveled extensively in the United States and abroad to make her debut in Washington, D.C., Paris, France Toulouse, France, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Amsterdam. In October 2010, she traveled to Tanzania, Africa to minister in song to five nations at a Five-Fold Ministry Crusade. In August 2013, she served as a Guest Musical Artist and director of Programs and Publications on the Kenya World Missions and Evangelistic Outreach Crusade.  This conference took place in Bungoma and Nairobi, Kenya.  In July 2015 she had the opportunity to sing on the Finale Show of Bobby Jones Gospel on BET. In 2018 she was a guest on Bishop George Bloomer’s show on The Word Network, Detroit, and TBN in the Twin Cities, Iowa.

Kimberly is the wife of Zacarrii G. Hamby. They were married on August 18, 2018.  She is the mother of two daughters, Maya S. Thompson and Ariyah Imani Hamby. Two bonus children Sadaya and Zacarrii “Langston” Lee Hamby.
